DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- The self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq has given Iran a two-month ultimatum to stop meddling in Iraqi affairs or face all-out war, according to an audiotape posted on the Internet Monday.

"We give ... the leaders of Iran a period of two months to stop all forms of support to the rejectionists of Iraq, and stop direct and indirect interference in the affairs of the Islamic state," said a voice attributed to the group's leader Abu Omar Al Baghdadi

Sorry, no spell check. Never got a higher grade than “C” in my grade school spelling class. First to sit down in the spelling bees.

“Reviled” is correctly spelled, so spell check wouldn’t have helped. Good word, too.

Fighting a war on 2 fronts? I guess AL Queda has never heard of reading the history of WW2. If true, this will be intereting.

It’s actually frightening to see many Freepers falling for Al-Qaedas ploy. They are facing defeat in Iraq, and now want to divert the USA by posturing itself as primarily anti-Iranian. They hope to lure us out of the fight and want us sitting on the fence salivating on the prospect of an Al-Q vs. Iran war, while infact they will get off the hook and fill the power vacuum in Iraq.

Drawing back, in the hope for an Al-Q vs. Iran fight would be most foolish.

Perhaps we could contract with the country of Turkey to provide both sides with Scimitar Swords to make beheading easier.

I am down with you Links-—popcorn with lots of butter. You can throw in a ham hock with a bottle of vino as well. When kinks like this happen, I really think the Americans really have their their heads spun. I really have my doubts that many people in the military, state dept or CIA really have a good take on the Arab/ or Persian mind. Do we let them just duke it out or what?

Ironic if after all Iran’s bluster they are sucked into the war when they had no such intention.

Me too, brother. I’ll never forget the very first word was “aisle” and I confidently spelled out “isle”. I couldn’t understand what went wrong as my classmates heckled me all the way to my desk. “You’ve been watching Gilligan too much” they sneered. I should sue, it caused so much trauma to my self esteem!

This is a true statement. I have lived in both Iran and Saudi Arabia. There is no way a free “western” mind can understand Islam logic (logic - a very poor choice of words)
