We have a couple large palms near our house that a family of screech owls live in part of the year.. I have never got that close to any of them tho .. between that and red tailed hawks , they keep the rodents on the run

We have owls around but I've never found a nest.

It was dark against a dusky sky when a huge owl swooped overhead and disappeared into the woods. I swear its wingspan is 4 feet but have no idea what it is.

One of the two palms they fly back and forth between is in the pic with the Goodyear Blimp , I just posted a pic of it on the Nascar race thread.

That’s actually a barred owl. I didn’t find a screech owl flying a reasonable angle. I just couldn’t see that blimp taking up all the owl space.
