The rollout speeches are boring, but the plane looks cool. I saw a program on it yesterday and it uses composite plastics to make it lighter and stronger than if it was made from aluminum. Also, it has two big ol’ bad-ass engines instead of 4 smaller ones. A good looking bird for sure.

Nice touch, adding the ISLAMIC CRESCENT to their logo!
From www.boeing.com:
Hmmm... I seem to recall SOME connection between Islamic terrorists and commercial airplanes. What WAS that connection???

I swear I think we saw this thing shortly after takeoff at the Bangor Airport. I tried to get a photo but couldn't’t get my phone out of my purse fast enough. At first we thought it was An-225 but it was a commercial airliner. It was huge!

Russian TV showed today about some researches made in Russia for Boeing 787. The all-composit fuselage also some main details had been put to the test in technical metrology laboratory of Central Aerodynamical Institute in Zhukovsky (near Moscow). Main load-bearing parts of B-787 will be making in the Titanium plant of AVISMA Co in the city Verkhniaya Salda on Ural-region.
Russian AEROFLOT Co. purchased 22 Boeing 787 (terms of delivery in 2012).
May be American TV-station forgot to mention about it?
