It’s going on all the time all over the country. Let them sue the developers who did not apprise them of the noise, or better yet, Caveat emptor should apply.

It doesn't work that way. Almost all communities have laws on the books dealing with noise in residential neighborhoods. If the shooting range is in violation of those ordinances, then it's at fault and it doesn't matter who was there first. That's just life.

When I was a kid, we used to race motocross at a track located East of Colorado Springs. When the city grew Eastward, and the noise bothered those in new developments, the track had to close. That's just the way it works.

“That’s just the way it works.”

That’s just the local politicians political corruption through the zoning process. When government reduces the value of someone’s property, the government should pay the difference.

Zoning has been used as a way for local politicians to do things that would otherwise never be allowed or considered ethical.

In Yuma, Arizona, zoning was voted down repeatedly. People did not want the government telling them what they could do with their property. Finally, the state forced them into it... for matching funds. Of course the local politicians love it. It gives them tremendous, almost unaccountable, power.
