You have no basis for your claims other than your own set of opinions. Your trust in nature I will happily grant, but your assertion that the biblical texts are mere products of men - you have no way to test or prove that claim. I would expect some fancied expressions in regard to what you think God might say, but they are unbecoming at best.
Someone in this thread stated that his theology teacher asserted that the scriptures were mere stories, fraught with error or some suggestion to that effect. His theology teacher! Not surprising. I had a “Bible As Literature” course in college once, taught by a retired priest/minister/something or other (oh, how men love titles and the adulation of men.) Anyhow, this professor (uh, denier ?) likewise did not seem to have much confidence in the scriptures (which are able to make one wise unto salvation) either.
Now, I seem to remember Christ saying something about such teachers. What was it again?...
Matthew 22:29 is a rather nice verse for such as they and for those who would limit God in his ability to create.
Show me the one "that God wrote" - and you'll have a leg to stand on. But, I have never heard of the divine bible written by God. And, you could sell THAT sucker on Ebay for a mint!
My bible here is The King James version.
If it was written by God....how come there are so many versions??? You'd think God would get it right the first time. Geez - even Isaac Asimov didn't have his writings edited...but God needs to???
Try again.
