I’ve read/heard several that are sure fire losers that show a commited pro-abortion stance, including:
In the spring of 2002 Romney completed a Planned Parenthood questionnaire. Signed by Romney and dated April 9, 2002, it contained these responses:
Do you support the substance of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade? YES
Do you support state funding of abortion services through Medicaid for low-income women? YES
In 1998 the FDA approved the first packaging of emergency contraception, also known as the “morning after pill.” Emergency contraception is a high dose combination of oral contraceptives that if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex, can safely prevent a pregnancy from occurring. Do you support efforts to increase access to emergency contraception? YES

I’d say Thompson’s comments are remarkably like Romney’s who also seemed to approach it from a libertarian point of view saying he wasn’t convinced it was an area that government had a right to regulate. Of course Fred is allowed to make such a comment and Romney is not.
Thompson has no record except his strong support of McCain Feingold. He quit the Senate half way through his second term and no one even noticed his absence. He certainly was no leader while he was there. Precisely what has he accomplished? What managerial skills has he ever demonstrated? Why does anyone think that a lazy, mediocre Senator who quit government and “went Hollywood” will beat Hillary Clinton? I don’t think the man has the energy or the enthusiasm that the campaign will require. He certainly hasn’t demonstrated it so far. While the other candidates, especially Hillary, are honing their debating skills, sharpening their message, and gearing up their campaign staff, Fred’s on the sidelines.
The one word Americans are using to describe the Bush administration and Republicans in general, according to surveys, is “incompetence.” To overcome this perception, Republicans need to nominate a candidate who, among other qualifications, has demonstrated the ability to manage large organizations and turn around failed ones. Nominating some guy just because he has name recognition and can fake sincerity and project authority in a character on a t.v. show isn’t going to cut it. The whole idea is laughable.
Reagan, whom the mainstream media portrayed as merely a dumb actor, had been the successful and highly visible and influential, two-term governor of the largest state. He was more than just a t.v. or movie personna. He had ideas and plans and he wanted to be president to accomplish something. He tried twice for the nomination at an age when most people are looking forward to retirement. He didn’t need to be prodded or pushed or cajoled to enter the race. Fred doesn’t have the stomach for the campaign or the job.
You’re full of feces, ‘nuff said.

Are you a Mitt guy, by chance? LOL. I will gladly do my duty if Fred or Mitt win the nomination, and vote for them.
Are you a liar, or just ignorant of basic facts?
Same question, chester.
The abortion question is so contentious and human that we might as well assume that there will not be total agreement on it in our lifetimes. The next best thing is to send it back to the states, where it belongs, and take all Federal meddling -- including our tax dollars to carry out the dirty deeds -- out of the picture.
Triple Ex, you're right that it's not an endorsement. It's a productive step toward the right.
You need to check the facts, Fred did not quit the senate in the middle of a term, he chose not to run for another term for personal reasons.
Hillary behind AP/LAT abortion story on Fred?

“show a commited pro-abortion stance”
Interesting. Would you say the same about FDT’s surveys? Your views on this subject are puzzling to me. The only difference between their positions is that Romney has turned his back on what he said during the 90’s.
Senators are elected for six year terms. Fred served eight years in the Senate. He filled out the remainder of another Senator's term, and completed one term on his own -- serving precisely 1 1/3rd terms in the Senate.
So while Fred didn't quit "in the middle of a term", nor did he serve a full 2 terms. Fred's a good guy, but in all honesty, the Fredheads have got to admit that even Obama has more experience in "elected office" than Fred.
You sound like “according to what the meaning of is, is.”
