WASHINGTON - Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg will not challenge Montana Sen. Max Baucus in 2008, the state Republican party announced Thursday.
In a statement issued by the GOP, Rehberg said he will not be a candidate for Senate or governor next year.
"Speculation to the contrary only serves as a distraction from the strong candidates that Montana Republicans will field for each of these important races," Rehberg said. "I remain completely focused on my job as Montana's congressman."

and, some of those Fornicators from California are still California residents...they supposedly can't vote in both states....
Maybe Stan Jones could become a Republican and then show off that oddly colored skin of his yet again as a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate instead of running as a Libertarian candidate for the U.S. Senate.
Um, no. That would only serve to solidify our reputation as a laughingstock.
In Montana, the Dems paint all the GOP as nutjobs, regardless of our skin color.
