Al Gore was determined to talk about Live Earth, a series of concerts around the world this weekend to raise climate change awareness, in an interview on TODAY. But the show’s host, Meredith Vieira, was able to get him to address his son’s recent arrest, Bush’s controversial commutation of Scooter Libby’s sentence, and his own aspirations for the White House

Wonder if Bush will commute this sentence.

Algore, what will be the total carbon ‘footprint’ for all these concerts and the people going to and from them?

I’m just kind of guessing that Meredith would like to vote for Gore in 2008. She seemed ... a little eager.

Didn’t the Gores—like the Edwardses—lose a son? Cannot remember.

Gee maybe AL WHORE SENIOR should take care of his own BEFORE TRYING TO SAVE THE WORLD.

I do not like to see the media splatter these people all over the headlines.

But I wonder if this son has ever contemplated how many lives have been ruined by reckless drunk and drugged drivers. He probably doesnt care.

We have a family member whose live has been permanently scarred. Will spare you the details but her life will never be the same.

Maybe Al Gore III should talk to the parents of a local child here who lays in bed every day. He was struck while walking down the street and left permanently brain damaged by another drunk driver.

The media went all out to hang Rush who had a real injury but they are working OT to give Gore’s son a free pass with the old,”he’s an addict and just needs help”. I’m hearing that Gore’s son had enough to be charged with distribution but the cops are giving him a break. Maybe he was just getting ready for the Live Earth concert?

Does marijuana smoke have a carbon footprint? If so, is Junior buying offsets from his dad?

I can’t remember a son, but I do remember Goar talking about his sister dying of lung cancer. Ironic for a tobacco grower.

Apparently less than planned; Turkey and Brazil have backed out of the concerts citing not enough security available. Breaks my heart, I really wanted to hear Lenny Kravitz /sarc

I don’t think the Gores lost a son, but this son was badly injured when he was struck by a car. I think he was about nine years old. Gore has, I think, talked about it a lot. That is this same son... I don’t know of any other ones.

Gore lost his sister to lung cancer and he shamelessly used it while campaigning against tobacco in the 1990s. Of course, he forgot all about this tidbit...

"Throughout most of my life, I raised tobacco. I want you to know that with my own hands, all of my life, I put it in the plant beds and transferred it. I've hoed it. I've chopped it. I've shredded it, spiked it, put it in the barn and stripped it and sold it." -- Al Gore, 1988

They almost lost Al III to a car wreck that happened when he was six years old.

Looks to me like she wanted to vote for him right there on the studio couch... if you catch my drift...

Gore on Scooter: “He was charged with knowledge that could incriminate his bosses in the White House,”

What? Being “charged with knowledge”?

The rats are trying to make us think there is something there. And the MSm isn’t going to call them on it.

The media will never call them on it and what they won’t report is that Gore’s son had enough prescribed drugs without a prescription to be charged with distribution. They have also minimally reported that he also had marijuana.
