FORT WORTH -- One teen-ager is in custody Wednesday and two suspects are being sought in connection with a robbery at a supermarket where the husband of an employee waiting outside confronted the suspects and opened fire, according to reports.

The 17-year-old showed up at Huguley Memorial Medical Center in south Fort Worth where doctors called police as the teen was treated for gunshot wounds to his backside and foot , KRLD reported.

The robbery occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when three suspects with yellow bandanas robbed customers and workers at an Albertsons at 3525 Sycamore School Road in south Fort Worth, police told NBC5. In the parking lot, a man who was waiting for his wife confronted the suspects and shot one of the fleeing suspects after one had pointed a gun at him, the station reported.

The man who fired the shots was licensed to carry a concealed handgun, police spokesman Lt. Dean Sullivan told KRLD

...gunshot wounds to his backside and foot...

And the CCL notwithstanding, some grandstanding shyster lawyer (is there any other kind?) will be filing a lawsuit on behalf of this punk POS.

We'll be inundated with sound bites from his crack-ho mama and his pimp "uncle" (who knows where his daddy may be?) about how he was just such a good boy, always early for school, did his homework (and probably every one else's), never associated with bad guys, etc, etc...ad nauseum.

Oh, wait, this is Texas, ain't it?

Never mind.

Now if it was Massatwoshits or some other equally liberal state, we'd be seeing all of the above happen.

In Texas, he'll get a band-aid for his ass and a piece of gauze for his foot and then clapped in jail.

And the guy that capped his...uh, butt, should be forced to take target acquisition lessons and learn to shoot for center mass.

The shooter better be able to prove that the suspect pointed a gun at him--even in TX you have to have cause to shoot someone.

I think the shooter didn't want to kill the kid--I think he just give him a lesson for life.

Yeah, yeah, I know that.

But I love hyperbole and never miss a chance to throw some crap at Massatwoshits and other equally liberal kumbayah states...or lawyers, too, for that matter.

Uh, you ain't a lawyer, are you?

No, I’m not a lawyer. In fact, my life has been so good that I don’t even know a lawyer—LOL! I’m just a little old lady who minds her own business, but is seldom without a loaded gun within reaching distance.

Correct, but the story out today indicates that the young African perp’s were also involved in the burglary of a “military gun supply” earlier in the week. They crashed a Suburban (stolen) into the entrance of the store on east loop 820 and took AR’s, AK’s and pistols before departing the scene. Vehicle was found burning 8 blocks south of scene of crime.
So they stole the weapons, then used them to rob a grocery store. Luckily they were caught/shot for the efforts.
Too bad the CHL guy was such a poor shot. The rest of the guys are still out there. Maybe they learned from this experience? Naaah, doubtful.

Update on the story:

{snip}
"The robbery occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when three people wearing yellow bandanas robbed customers and workers at an Albertsons at 3525 Sycamore School Road in south Fort Worth, Sullivan said.

One of the victims called her husband, who was waiting in the parking lot.   The husband confronted the suspects in the store and shot one of the fleeing suspects after one of them pointed a gun at him."

Confronting them in the store would seem to change the dynamic a bit, as far as justification goes.

Ah, he went in to the robbery in progress to confront the little punks? Good for him— they could have been bent on taking out all witnesses as far he knew.
