Fireworks are a tradition here and the show will go on, rain or not! (Of course, any rain we get will be widely scattered and probably wouldn’t interfere with the fireworks show anyway!) The 36th Army Band from Ft. We-Gotchya will play the 1812 Overture, and the fireworks commence as the last notes fade away.

We’ll have firemen from 3 districts standing by just in case.

We always go over to a friend’s place for a cookout, and watch the fireworks from his driveway. He lives just over a quarter-mile from the display grounds.

One year, we went up a hill on the Fort and watched fireworks displays in Sierra Vista, Tombstone, St. David, Bisbee, and Palominas. Now, that was an interesting Fourth!!

What? Is there a TZ marathon on Sci-Fi? I have to check it out. They usually seem to show the same episodes over and over. Then again, after all these years, I think I may have finally seen them all (at least 90% of them.)

Well, I could respond that anybody is a better actor than Shatner, but to be fair, I haven't seen BYJ act. He could be far worse. But I don't know. Just sayin'.

We usually cook about 10 chickens, 6 Boston Butts, several rib racks, and an occasional brisket

My goodness Arrowhead...feeding the whole neighborhood? Sounds like perfect BBQ!

All our 4th of July events except for the parade have been canceled.

There are usually seven - ten families who get together in a park for the Fourth. We cook all the meat except for hot dogs and burgers. We also freeze some meat for later.
