It explains why a poster at FreeRepublic.com inserted the face of Rudy Giuliani in what looks to be an old movie still of a sombrero-wearing bandito and added the caption "Borders? Borders? We don' need no steenking borders." It explains why Giuliani has backed off the pro-immigrant stance he had when mayor of New York City.
And it explains why even some of the most conservative Hispanics realize that all the posturing about illegal immigrants is really an attack aimed at everybody whose name ends in "ez."

It cuts both ways. There are indeed liberals who throw down the charge of racism at the drop of the hat without any grounds whatsoever. However, anti-PC is just as PC as PC itself. Unfortunately too many conservatives have been so put off the by liberal charges of racism that they often refuse to admit the presence of real racism when the charge is just and right.
Yeah, but I have to admit I point to the nuttiest things I see on DU as an example of how extreme that site is. I’m sure there are people who pluck things from here.
The difference is that vile and obscene are the norm on the DU, you have to look for those here.
Well, I wouldn’t know. because I get my glimpse from the DUmmie Funnies. I don’t see the site in full context.
I am really, really tired of people designating me as racist because I support enforcement of the law and protection of my country.
Inasmuch as Britain is an *island* nation, then they already have a nature-provided "fence" much better than anything men could devise. So, how then, could their borders be considered "pourous", by any stretch of the imagination?
