Sarah Scott, a 16 year-old who gave birth just four months ago, says the staff at Banff Academy complained when she wore a shirt with the message "Abortion is Murder” printed on it. This girl deserves credit for not following up one mistake with a bigger one.

“I was not just wearing the T-shirt for the shock factor -- it is something I am passionate about; it is wrong to kill a baby," she explained. That, of course, was her big public school faux pas. If she'd been sartorially passionate about using profanity in public or condemning conservatives or ridiculing religion, she'd have fit in just fine.

The staff complained because the girl’s shirt made a statement of fact. Yes well, that is a problem.
How dare she openly defy the okie-doke promoted by abortion-happy types? ‘Specially when everyone knows it can’t be murder because ‘it’ isn’t a human being.

Kids shouldn’t be wearing t-shirts with political messages to school—no matter what the message. It’s disruptive and takes kids’ attention off of what they’re supposed to be in school for. Plus it gets the adults all riled.
Call me cranky but it’s just my opinion.
