It used to be that most callers were grudging admirers- "hard working, God-fearing, love their families" was a typical conversation.
That changed recently, and I think the driver behind it is the rash of car wrecks involving presumably illegal aliens.
A typical tale is "I was proceeding lawfully, when out of nowhere this car runs into me, and everybody in the car bails out and runs away. The police get there, and they say 'there's nothing we can do about this...'"
This happened to the daughter of a friend of mine- she escaped with bruises, but her car was totaled, and the police didn't do a damned thing towards tracking down the runners.
Haven't seen The Goat Ritual ( yet! ) but then again, I haven't peeked down the street this morning, either...
It's the damn Curse of the Hyphenates------ they bring their corrupt cultures to the US then demand our pandering legislators enshrine it into law so that the rest of us are forced to live by their frickin' rules.
Aint gonna happen.
There is nothing we can do about it. It is going to happen anyway. THIS sort of thinking is ruining us. It is what is said about teen sex, trade with China, drug dealers, illegal immigration, just about everything except people who refuse to pay income taxes. More and more it seems our public officials and government just shrug and when enough people do something it becomes de facto legal. Is this any way to run a country, or anything else?
I hadn’t heard of the Mexicans having a goat slaughter ritual but I do know that the somali’a / muslims do have a certain way to slaughter goats. (my kid used to raise them and knew someone who allowed them to buy the goats and let the slaughter them on his land)
