Am I the only one who's sick of all these cutely named victims laws?

This owner of a new 2280 s.f. manufactured home (not trailer, or mobile home) took initiative and bought his own weather radio - as should anybody who lives in any kind of dwelling.

How would the occupants be able to hear it over The Jerry Springer Show?

Why does the governemtn NEED to do everything for us? CJ’s parents could have bought and had this radio themselves. They are trying to placate their guilt by insinuating that mobile homes should have always had this and mostly that IT WASN’T THEIR FAULT.

Why not make it manditory for everyone?

Wouldn't "making it mandatory for everyone" be the result of "NEEDING" the government to pass a law making it mandatory? :)

I keep thinking of the FAA’s 30 ton poured concrete reinforced electronics shelters. (Ten tons of rebar encased in 20 tons of concrete.) About as big as trailer but lots more storm worthy. Anyone who’s been in one will tell you that that’s where they want to be during a Tornado.

Also, with a jillion BTUs of air conditioning and a one inch diameter steel grounding cable.

Why not just skip this middleman stuff, and outlaw the storms themselves?

And they need to be mounted over one of these, with trap doors through the floor.

There you go... lets legislate that all trailers must be Ten tons of rebar encased in 20 tons of concrete. Problem solved.

I've contacted my reps and asked them to pass a law banning all "cutely named" laws.

To be named "the graybeard law".

God hates mobile homes. That’s why tornadoes always attack them first.

Now what was that town out in the midwest that was just leveled? I guess all new houses should come with weather alert radios as well.

FEMA Trailers To Be Used As ‘Tornado Bait’
“Thousands of trailers meant to house New Orleans evacuees never made it to their destination, but they will not go to waste: they will be deployed throughout the midwest and south to divert tornadoes away from residential areas.”

If you’re ever threatened with a tornado you night find a ditch safer - maybe even build one ... under where you normally park?

I’ve lived in Illinois and Texas.
I’ve seen and experienced many tornadoes.
I even lived in a mobile home park in Gardener,Ill that was hit by a tornado.
Tornadoes do tear up towns and countryside, but they don’t mean to. They are just looking for the mobile home parks.

Instead of weather radios in mobile homes, they should mandate all residents of mobile home parks have a parachute.
