We become a nation of scofflaws. Choose which laws to obey and don’t prosecute in court those who violate them.

Identity theft, non-payment of taxes, smuggling, illegal border crossing. What is a little drug use, assault, rape, vote fraud, etc. on top of that?

This will “all change” once they are able to step out of the shadows, right?

And suddenly we WILL be able to enforce the immigration laws for everyone who tries to come over after Jan1 2007, RIGHT?

If we “can’t” enforce the laws now, how are reforms supposed to lead to SUDDEN enforcement?

That was one of the ironies last week. As they got ready to vote on the bill that was going to make 11-50 million eligible for Z-VISAs within 24 hours of their applications, they had to put on hold issuing passports to REAL citizens, because their system was overwhelmed.

[That was part of the intent by design, I think. Overwhelm the system to where all the intended get their Z-VISAs without a whole lot of bother.]
