I wonder if it ever occurred to the boneheads that they could deputize and train gun owners accually fight crime.
On the other hand, I don't think the mayors have much motive to improve the crime situation. Most are in office for life.

They want the trace data to sue gun shops and gun manufacturers out of existence. They don't want stop illegal guns. They want to eliminate private gun ownership in this country - and they don't have the guts to tell the American people the truth to their face.
