I think he’s pretty sneaky. But he is dumb....whomever/whatever is pulling his strings to get him to do these things is going to eat him alive.....at some point...and he’ll have the deer in the headlights look.

It always amazes me that people prefer to explain things by someone’s stupidity rather than evil intentions. Why can’t you assume that the man is actually very smart: he’s been buying Latin voted since he was a governor and fooled both of us for a long time, as only now we are discovering the mistake we’ve made. Whose stupidity is it?

I agree, it is not an act, he is really clueless until someone prompts him.

I will never forget the look on his face in that classroom when he was told of the attack on 9/11.

He just kept reading the kids book, he looked absolutely clueless on how to act as he sat there alone

Bush is not an idiot. As I explained (on national TV in 2000) he went to Yale and Harvard. Sadly, I failed to notice the flaws in the educational programs of these once excellent institutions. One does not need to be a deep thinker to graduate with a liberal arts degree from Yale and an MBA is largely technical. As much as I denigrate my alma mater, Columbia does force students to take a course on western civilization, where we read Plato.

Bush is what he has always been an elitist frat boy-turned business man. He has delegated most of our policy to works he likes. Meanwhile, he accepts far too many liberal assumptions because he lacks the intellectual depth and tools to challenge these.

I don't know for sure yet. Dumb? - I don't think so. Controlled by someone/something else? Maybe some thing.

After much discussion around the ole campfire here at Firebase-Gonzo, it's the general consensus that Bush has lost his nerve. With all of the bleating and bleeding going on over the failed 'shamnesty' bill, there was a golden opportunity for the element of surprise if he planned to cook Irans' goose, but nothing has happened, and the time has passed.

It appears that Bush will do nothing until the USA suffers another 9/11 type attack, so-as not to get any bad press from the rest of the world. As if we care if they could hate us any more.

Nope! It looks like we're on our own out here in the USA, waiting for the next horrid attack, and wondering if we'll be fighting in the streets, and even who we'll be fighting - our domestic muzzies or our own LEOs or Military.
