Do the moonbats realize that VP Cheney would preside over his own impeachment trial? The Constitution only lists one exception to the President of the Senate presiding over an impeachment trial, and that’s for a Presidential impeachment because the VP would obviously have a conflict of interest. Of course the duty may fall to the President pro Tempore, but the Constitution doesn’t expressly say that. If it weren’t for the stupidity of it all, it would be interesting to see unfold.

Mr. McDermott,
What law, exactly, has Vice President Cheney allegedly broken?
I'm waiting to see title and paragraph of the code under which he will be charged.

The vice president holds himself above the law, and it is time for the Congress to enforce the law, McDermott said in a floor speech.Congress is the Executive Branch of government now? Go read a Constitution, you schmuck.

The Vice President's office
is part of the Executive Branch.
However, it is not an Executive Agency. Agencies are set up by Congressional legislation. The office of Vice President is set up by the Constitution. The doctrine of separation of powers aborts this mind numbed imbecile's arguments.

To: Sub-Driver
As Golenn Reyonolds notes, per the Constitution, Cheney would preside ovver his own trial.
Has McDermott’s ethical challenge been resolved by the House yet,BTW?
