Several formerly red states have turned blue or purple. The GOP is going to have an uphill battle to win in 08.

In the late 90s we had Clinton fatigue.

Now and for the next 18 months, we have Bush fatigue.

To those who decried the voters for ending the Republican majorities in the House and Senate: that Republican Senate PASSED the monster amnesty for illegals, while the Democrat Senate defeated it TWICE.

Yes. Elections do have consequences. It seems many of the politicians understood the voters’ 06 and yesterday’s messages.

Not following your logic. You are glad that we lost control of the House and the Senate? The Democrat Senate defeated it? The Republican Senate PASSED the Secure Fence Act of 2006 last year. Again, not following.

It certainly gives credence to what many of us suspected — that we’d do better fighting on the defensive in the minority than trying to stop this liberal president in a rubber stamp majority.
