Far worse! It is one thing to be shot at by the enemy as to having been shot in the back and then having your body kicked.

Pray for W and Our Troops

I got into an argument in another thread regarding the article with someone who claimed Jenna’s book is trash. The poster said he read a review. Nevermind that the book doesn’t come out until October 2.

I normally post editorials from Townhall.com. But I refuse to post any that have to do with immigration or go to any immigration threads, and when someone tries to highjack the thread to turn it into an immigration thread, I tell them in no certain term to get off

I read both exerpts and a review of the book and it was very positive. I myself was surprised at how interesting it was and what good writing it is then I remembered that Jenna graduated with a degree in English. I will keep a lookout for future reviews etc.

I really do admire the twins. They have had to endure a lot yet both seem to be making their way in the world as adults.

Compare them to the former first daughter-and reminds of the old adage "Good Parents Make Good Kids". Chels never had much of a chance, IMO.

This is from an editorial review of Jenna's book on Amazon.com. It does not sound like trash to me.

"Based on her work with UNICEF in Latin America and the Caribbean, Jenna Bush has written a powerful and personal nonfiction account of a girl who fights against all odds to survive.... Jenna's message of hope and call to action will inspire you to make a difference for children like Ana." link

Oh your welcome, GC. I’m always in awe of those who have great pages. I’m afraid I don’t have one, maybe someday when I figure out how to do it.

Quote of the Day:

President Bush:

Independence Day 2007

I send greetings to Americans everywhere celebrating Independence Day.

Two hundred thirty-one years ago, 56 brave men signed their names to a bold creed of freedom that set the course of our Nation and changed the history of the world. On this anniversary, we remember the great courage and conviction of our Founders, and we celebrate the enduring principles of our Declaration of Independence.

Through selfless sacrifice and unrelenting determination, the patriots of the American Revolution ensured that our Nation's claim to liberty and equality would not be dismissed or forgotten. The ideals they fought for and the country they helped establish are lasting symbols of hope to the entire world.

Our commitment to America's founding truths remains steadfast. We believe that freedom is a blessing from the Almighty and the birthright of every man and woman. As our Nation faces new challenges, we are answering history's call with confidence that our legacy of freedom will always prevail. On Independence Day, we express our gratitude to the generations of courageous Americans who have defended us and those who continue to serve in our country's hour of need, and we celebrate the liberty that makes America a light to the nations.

Laura and I wish you a Happy Fourth of July. May God bless you, and may He bless our wonderful country.

GEORGE W. BUSH
