True. Ann tried to respond and Chris said something like, “let her (Edwards) finish, let her finish. You will have all the time in the world to respond.” One sentence into Ann’s response, Chris interrupts her. Ann had the poise to say, “you told me I’d have all the time in the world to respond.”
It’s like this all the time with liberals on T.V. They think they are so superior, that they have the right to cheat. The process usually goes like this. Liberals speak without interruption. Conservatives speak and are interrupted - a regular shoutfest. That is part of the liberal conception of fairness.

This response to Edwards/Matthews is great. But Ann did NOT respond during the interview itself. Why not?
Why couldn’t she have simply said, “I was lampooning your HUSBAND’s use of the boy’s death, not the death itself. I read that John Kerry himself had a similar reaction to Mr. Edwards exploitation of the tragedy.”
Or “I was comparing the reaction to my silly remark to the total lack of reaction to Maher’s death-wish for Cheney.”
A simple, concise explanation is better than 5 minutes of additional name-calling. Ann could have done better.
Can we please stop attacking Ann for being mean?

The dreadful MSM is ever so kind and gentle with their own ugly spoiled children. But with the smart and beautiful Ann, there's not enough nasty tricks to play on her. Hell will freeze over before I watch Chris Matthews again...
