Can somebody post a link to the votes. I would like to see a complete list of all votes.
I understand my republican Rep voted for cloture (Lugar) and my liberal Rep (Bayh) voted against.
I have to check for myself.
Thanks,

"I’ve admired this president for a long time, but I’ve reached a point where I’ve had it up to here (my hand is at my forehead) with this administration’s chronic obtuseness and arrogance." When even a RINO like Hugh Hewitt (who supported Bush on the Miers fiasco) admits that he is "had it...," you know Bush doesn't have much support left among his base.

The sudden, overwhelming terror that the Rats and the RINOs are suffering just may not be because of talk radio -- these corrupt clowns were paid mucho dinero to deliver.
They are desperate to find an excuse. They've angered some very influential groups like the Chamber of Commerce and groups profiting from taxpayer-subsidized "cheap" labor. There's also the possibility of a long hot summer.
There are Hispanic groups running wild here in the U.S. They could be the ones Senator Lindsey Graham was talking about when he said, "There are a lot of people quietly hoping this thing passes, and there'll come a time where they'll have to not be quiet."

This bill died as it should have. But there is no closure of the border and will be none as the Democrats will be in charge next year and will increase their lead in the Senate and House so I expect the border to be eliminated in 2009.

We can keep the pressure on those politicians who support legislation that will destroy our country. We must insist our current immigration laws are enforced including deporting all illegal aliens, building the fence and prosecuting companies who do business with illegal aliens. The link below is a ping list to keep track of the politicians.

As I understand it, the vote today (Thurs, 6/28) carried to STOP debate on the bill. In other words, the bill can still be debated — which is another way of saying they are not ready to take an Up or Down vote at this time.
So, rather than this bill being killed, it seems that it is only in a “holding” zone, awaiting further debate.
What’s the keep the pro-amnesty people from meeting at midnight, amending the darn thing again, and calling for a sudden vote to stop debate, and call for a swift up or down vote. Catching the American people asleep and passing this terrible amnesty bill, against the people’s wishes.
It has been done. Remember the minimum wage bill which was attached to the bill to fund the war?
These guys are crooks and will stop at nothing to keep their promises to the interests of other countries, to the detriment of the United States.

A Revolution is blowin' in the wind--the American people against the Washington politicians!
It's the Information Age that's made it happen. The politicians in Washington are running scared.
The people stopped the Dubai ports deal.
Now they have stopped this Senate bill--1,000-pages or so that nobody knows what's in.
The next battle will be over "The Fairness Doctrine"--government censorship and control over information reaching the public.
Diane Feinstein has already launched an assault against Talk Radio. She claims to want it to present "both sides" (as thought there were only two). What she really wants is for it to be forced to present is her side--i.e. Leftist Propaganda--or Federal Government Propaganda.
The American people can defeat Diane too--and her attempt to force the News Media to present Big Brother's Propaganda!
Get ready for a fight, Diane! We the People will defeat your next little scheme too!

If the Republicans in South Carolina are sick of being embarrassed by Lindsey Graham, they have a choice they can find someone to run against him in the primary. Just about anyone will do the trick. One would think that the state that gave us Andrew Jackson, John C. Calhoun, and Strom Thurmond could come up with an alternative to Goober.
To: The Blitherer
...what happened over the past month was the first real skirmish in a civil war for the soul of the Republican Party. You had good guys like Hoekstra, DeMint, Sessions and Vitter doing battle with an exhausted Old Guard (Lott, Voinovich et al.) who have forgotten what their party stands for and who they represent. Happily, the good guys won this round. Round one of a thousand round fight...

I hope that the majority now realizes that bashing congress at time works. I hope now that every American bashes for a long and high fence along our southern border and the troops to guard it.
