About damn time he’s shown some backbone.

Second!

As PO’d as I am at the President lately, I’m really glad to see he’s showing some spine on this one.

Too little too late. Gonzales had been portrayed, accurately I think, as an incompetent moron and that will not wash off.

The White House is right on this, unfortunately, Bush has so compromised himself in so many other areas that nobody is going to support him anymore.

Okay, now I can add points to the President’s “What He’s Done Right” column. Oh, and stuff it Leahy...traitor.

This is stupid. With all of the problems facing America, the Democrats still want to smear the President. What’s the point? His approval is way down, he’s lame duck, and not exactly winning friends lately.

Let it go. Do the work you were elected to do. Jerks.

Bush finds his gonads at last. Nothing like a good magnifying glass.

Leahy will inevitably pursue this in the courts. When he does I hope the President will have the fortitude to deal with that treasonous $#!+head from Vermont in the same way Lincoln dealt with former Congressman Clement Vallandigham. The time has long-since passed for Demonrat agents of treason to pay a price.

Maybe if Bush hears the term “executive privledge” often enough he just might start acting like an executive.

I still don't understand why they didn't just say "fogedaboutit" when this whole thing started. There can be nothing criminal about firing people you had a right to hire and fire.

You can’t accommodate an enemy who wants your head on a platter.

Leahy can not access classified data. That is why he was removed from the House Intel committee in 1960. They had to as the Intel community told congress they would not do any more briefings with him on the committee.
I honestly believe he was directly responsible for a number of our troops death because of his spilling intel secrets to the public. Like Hatch terminating our monitoring of OBL’ cell by telling the world what we were doing.

Mr. President, you have alienated this former supporter by attempting to ram this immigration bill up my a** and then slandered me for resisting it. You will have to fight this battle, and all the remaining battles of your Presidency, with no support from me.

When we needed you to defend the Constitution, enforce the laws, and secure our borders, you abandoned us. Now I abandon you.
