Here we are again my friends, hopefully for the last debate thread on this particular monstrous legislation. Proceedings are supposed to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the cloture vote being taken at 10:30 a.m.
On a personal note, you've all been wonderful in your passion, vigilance, and commitment to the principles on which our country was founded. If I have to be in a foxhole, I want to be in it with you guys.
Feinstein blathering on about how the problem is that opponents dont understand the bill.
No dear, we DO understand it. That’s the problem.
If we can’t round them up, then how does the MSM find enough of them to do an opinion poll?
Rush mentioned that yesterday.
So much for living in the shadows...........
We understand the bill all too well, Senatrix.
from your keyboard to God's ears......
So it’s only about the vote...not the value. I can’t believe this chick.
Congratulations, Don Quixote.
KILL BILL
__________________________________________________________
Look, everyone keeps saying Kill Bill. But we are losing time. The vote on cloture is in 1/2 hour or so, and if this Bill fellow is a pro-amnesty Senator someone needs to kill him quickly or he’ll be able to vote for cloture.
Sorry if I’m repeating this. Senator Collins said today on 560 WGAN she’s voting no. And that the 12-20 million illegals should not become citizens. I’m still not convinced until the votes are cast but I’m a bit more positive about things.
Our very own House of Lords.
Question for the Founding Fathers: Did you all have a screw loose?!
I don’t know about you but my ear is sore from the phone and my arm aches from the computer. I will be glad when this is over. I might get some good sleep. I hope it goes well—I have my fingers crossed. Blue is my favorite color also.
DiFi don’t pee on my leg and try to tell me it’s raining.
I hope his conversion sticks. I wonder how far Bush will go? Will he did out the FBI files, too? If bribes don't work, he has other tools.
Feinstein talking now.
Rejecting a flawed bill is not doing nothing - it’s preventing a catastrophe.
Thank-you pollywog....
Kind of her to point out Voinovitch. :)
"I don't know what to say to people who are against this bill."
The GOP members are the ones leading the charge with the Fairness Doctrine. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it wasn't Lott and McCain that is pushing the idea.
Don't delude yourself into believing that there is any difference between senate democrats and at least 60% of the senate republicans - especially the leadership.
They are just like professional wrestlers - they create a phony public feud and then they get the people in the two camps riled up. Backstage, of course, they are all friends.
The difference is that we know that the fights in professional wrestling are staged. For some reason, it is still not clear to many people that the Senate is as well.
When did she read the 300+ pages written yesterday?
Hey DiFi read the dang bill yourself.
I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.
They are all arguing their way into the logical conclusion of building a fence. We don’t have to wait 10 years to build a fence if this POS doesn’t pass!!!!
