The author (with whom I have no connections) has written GREAT articles on this amnesty bill. He seems to know a lot about what's going on inside the Senate. His earlier articles on this topic were very well received on FR.

From there, he noted that James Webb has told multiple senators that he voted in favor of the first cloture vote because he had his arm twisted, but he didn't like how he was treated, and had no intention of voting for the second one. Still, he said don't count Webb as a definite vote against cloture because he might get his arm twisted again. Born Idiot has an ego, anybody who saw him in the 2006 campaign knows this. If he feels like he's getting "dissed," he'll lash out.

Wouldn’t it be great if all American’s opposed to this bill all took the day off and organized a march on their state capitol to protest? Imagine every capitol building in the USA being bombarded with angry Americans. Surely THAT would get the House and Senate’s attention.
Oh wait... there I go again, wishful thinking....

Since I live in a state with two radical leftist senators in Washington, I’ve adopted Tom Coburn and Jim DeMint as my “true” representatives in the U.S. Senate — so it’s good to see them leading the charge on this one.

“...everyone realizes at this point that the Thursday vote is the final vote on amnesty as far as the base is concerned. In other words, a ‘yes’ on cloture is a ‘yes’ to amnesty.”

PS #2: If you want to know who's leading the fight against the bill, my source says Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn, David Vitter, and Jeff Sessions are on point. These guys are doing one helluva job and should be commended. Anyone know when Jeff Sessions is up for re-election? I'd like to move Alabama just for the privilege of voting for him.

I sent Webb an email this morning and challenged his manhood... “Be a MAN, vote NO for cloture !”
Here’s hoping there are a lot of dissed Senators.

G’mornin’. I found a USA Today article which deals with Dirt Bag Harry’s “colorful” past, as I referenced yesterday. Let me know when/if you can stomach it.

Make it easier...
March on your local Chamber of Commerce!
They're big 'supporters' of this bill.
In a small town, where everyone knows everyone, it would be rather embarrassing, I think, to have your friends and relatives hold signs in front of where you work.

Lindsey Graham suddenly talking tough about not voting for the bill unless a touchback provision is added. What is his motivation for that? He told me that he thinks Lindsey Graham is just running scared at this point.
Graham figured that after the election, he would be the VP-elect with President-elect McCain. But McCain has tanked. And so has the VP hopes of Graham.
Now, he is desperately trying to recoup to save his senate seat.
