Called the RNC today and told them I wanted the last two years of contributions back. They said they would send the money I sent them just for the last 12 months - $75.
The first jerk hung up on me when I insisted I wanted at least two years $$ back so I had to call back.
I don't know if they are getting the message or not.
I sympathize with you, but don't agree with you. It's not like purchasing something and then asking for a refund because its not what you expected.
A donation to a political party is just that - a donation, not a purchase.
I used to give money to the March of Dimes until they sold my name & address to a charity database. I stopped donating to them, but I don't think I would be right in asking for my donation back.
I hope we both suffer from the same fallacy (that our sarcasm is so obvious as to not require a notation of such). If so, you're brilliantly witty, just like me! If not, I'm not able to fully comprehend your logic.
Maybe the guy that started this thread. He has $75.00.
He paid the RNC with a credit card. He did not drop the $75 in the RNC kettle outside Walmart.
