Well, my take on that situation is similar to HitmanLV's quite frankly. Savage's fight with C-Span wasn't a fight worth picking, IMO! I think if he really wanted to be on C-Span, he should have shown up to accept the award personally!

Duh, what guy is that? The guy across my dial is Glenn Beck who just gave a weak interview to the not so great spinmeister Tony Snowjob, and up next will be Lou Dobbs, never really had time to listen to Beck before but since Savage is retiring I guess I’ll have more time to listen to other shows during this time frame.

I’m getting a little tired of these encore Wednesdays, and, especially this one in particular, he was off all last week for God sake, he can’t give us a whole week and next week he’ll be off again because it’s 4th of July, wonder if he’ll take the whole bleeping week!

Yea, that’s pretty much how I see it. If it was so important a speech, why did he no-show and send a video? ANSWER: Savage didn’t consider it too important, and neither did CSPAN.
Not to mention televising a room of people watching a tv screen really stinks.
