Gopher, I really think the pols who are pushing this thing through are scared to death - scared that the mexican takeover of our country is going to result in a huge increase in democratic voters that will shunt the republicans to the sidelines for decades to come.

What's happening to the Republican Party is what should have happened to the Democrat Party... the grassroots, the people who believe in it, are fighting to take it back from politicos who have ignored them for years, who take their voices and votes for granted, who think they know better than us. And unlike the Dems, we're not above throwing one helluva tantrum and pulling the rug from under them. And they better listen close, becuase otherwise they'll be out of their cushy jobs by '08.
