I was first though
Yea. You did good. As son as I saw the news article elsewhere I went to TomDeLay.com. I figured he would have a statement up.
Both are good threads to stand alone.
BTW, I appreciate the way you usually post full articles when you can, like from Town Hall. I hadn't had a chance to tell you before, but thanks! No sarcasm intended.
I normally do post full articles, but I was in a hurry
Indeed
Fire Ronnie!
Do it now...
Two charges money laundering and conspiring to launder money remain against the former congressman. He resigned last year amid allegations that he violated campaign finance laws to funnel $190,000 in corporate contributions to Republicans in the state's 2002 legislative elections.
Contact the Texas state Bar to demand that Ronnie Earle be disbarred, just like Nyfong was in NC.
Good news. Makes this New York stater smile.
Didn't the prosecutor attempt to justify the money laundering charge using a mis-represenation of a document? That is, the prosecutor claimed that a document established the pattern that money from one source was deliberately redirected to another source? But, in fact, the document claimed as justification for the charge DID NOT EXIST? And that the document which did exist would establish that no such pattern existed?
I didn't follow the details closely at the time.
Maybe our justice system works after all. If they really had anything on Delay the trial would have already started.
