PMQS today was absolutelty extraordinary.
One of the first, PMs to get a standing ovation from the whole house.

The last minutes of PMQS - clearly he was quite emotional, but the oppostion parties were more than fair.
A great day for democracy.
Farewell Mr. Blair. You’re a good friend of the United States and I thank you for that.
My wife and I watched “The Queen” on DVD. Thought it was excellent. It paints a very positive picture of Mr. Blair. Recommend the movie highly.
Ah, we just got that one, but haven’t watched it yet. Looking forward to it.
Its utterly amazing and confounding to me that Tony Blair is still one of Bill Clinton’s closest personal friends?????
After ten years they were probably just glad he was finally gone. How long has he been leaving now? 2-3 years?
I thank Tony Blair for standing with us Americans during some very trying times. Best wishes to him.
No he would have been in his job a few years longer had it not been his close links to republicans in America, the foreign policy you and I support and a hostile press.
“Its utterly amazing and confounding to me that Tony Blair is still one of Bill Clintons closest personal friends?????”
Not really sure why, they are very close politically as well.
“Not really sure why, they are very close politically as well.”
Yeah, Blair even redesigned the Labour Party as “New Labour” after Clinton’s Democratic Leadeship Council’s “New Democrats.”
Goodbye, Tony. We will miss you.
The same Queen that served her country in WWII when she did not have to do so? That one?
The portayals of Blair and Elizabeth were remarkable.
Both President Bushs are buddies with Clinton too.
The same Queen who let her son serve in Falklands Task Force when she could of asked for him to be kept safe at home? That one?
I doubt that this anti-monarchical fool represents a large sector of opinion even on Free Republic. The British monarchy has always made sense, and it still does. The Queen is an admirable woman playing an admirable role.
Thank you for your character, clarity, and vision in the war for civilization, Mr. Blair. And thank you for your friendship toward our country. Best wishes.
Why yes, I think that is the very one. And I might just add a very large salute to the lady in question.
Couldn’t have said it better. While his social and economic views put him solidly on the left, he showed great strength and character in standing with the good guys against the enemies of civilization. For that I will always have great admiration for the man. I wish him well in whatever he does, and hope his successor will prove to be a pleasant surprise.
I admire him more than I can say. He was a great friend to this nation, and I hate to see him go. Like President Bush, he has been destroyed by the world media for his stand against Islamic terrorism. Go figure!
