Riverdale, IL. -- According to Jackson's spokesperson, the Reverend and Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina Church, got arrested while rallying against gun violence outside Chucks Gun Shop at 14310 South Indiana Ave., Riverdale.
A press release from the Rainbow PUSH Coalition said police officers handcuffed and arrested the two men at approximately 1:30 p.m. as they led an anti-gun protest and engaged in civil disobedience.
Jackson and Pfleger have since been released by Riverdale Police by 4 p.m.
In wake of the deaths of 35 Chicago Public School students since January, Jackson and Rainbow PUSH Coalition constituents are demanding new laws to ban the purchase of more than one gun a month, as well as mandating thorough background checks and a longer wait time to buy guns.
"The police watch the people who come into town with fireworks from Indiana, why cant they watch whos buying these guns and bringing them into the city, Jackson said. We have never known this level of endangerment, this is the struggle of this generation.
One weekend ago, Jackson and Pfleger led another march to the same gun shop, which started at Park Elementary School on the 14200 block of South Wentworth Avenue, and were joined by Chicago police officer Ronald Holt, father of slain 16-year-old Percy Julian High School honor student Blair Holt.
race hustle not paying enough, needs to try anew line of work.
“new laws to ban the purchase of more than one gun a month”
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Jesse buys guns like I buy ice cream. Who needs 12 guns a year, 1000 guns for Jesse’s lifetime? Jesse planning a turf war?

DUH....the gun shop stands on what use to be the Wild MidWest...Indians, outlaws, and later Al Capone who invented the drive by shootings....
The word is "defrock". Before he became Pope, Joseph Ratzinger was head of the Inquisition, well that was the old name for the organization he headed, it's now the "Congregation for Doctrine of the Faith". Even so, you still don't get that job if you're a wimp.

I noticed in the article that is just says deaths. Because of that, I’m guessing that all 35 of these kids did not die by gunfire. Oh, and I wonder how many of the ones that did die by a bullet had the bullet or gun purchased from Chucks? A good reporter out there might find that out. They might want to know if ole Chuck’s is just a scapegoat for Jesse’s shake down express coalition.
Just an aside, I went to a gunshow this weekend. I’ll bet there were more guns per square foot there than in any comparable area of Chicago’s inner city. It’s funny how there was not one shooting there the whole time. What gives? Are the guns tamer here in Pa than in Chicago?
