For Christians, it's not. We have no part in Judgment Day, we'll already have been resurrected. Revelation 20:4-6
For the rest, the "sheep" and the "goats", they get Revelation 20:11-15. Good luck with that.
So I am saved.
Your Old and New Testaments are the same as mine, King James Version. Or maybe yours is the “Living Bible” or “New King James” or “Cotton Patch” or “American Standard” - gee, how many versions of the Bible are there anyway? Hold on, I’ll be right back. According to one source - http://www.nobeliefs.com/DarkBible/darkbible2.htm - there are over 100 different versions of the Bible. I think the Jehovah’s Witnesses use the “New World” version. Whatever.
Don’t preach to me, pal.
Go ahead and insult the memory of Joseph Smith. Insult my faith. Insult the Book of Mormon. Insult Gordon B. Hinckley. Join the club.
It doesn’t erase the fact that Jesus Christ is my Savior and I love Him with all my heart. I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my Church. The Holy Bible is precious to me and so is the Book of Mormon.
That seems to sum it up some perfer to be slothful servants!
Another non-answer from ampu.
Can you say "RAMEUMPTON"?
This is classic
I guess you reject my challenge. That’s fine. Your understanding on how meetings usually go is a correct one. However, is that how Christ conducted his meetings? His word, as should be, was final. Just as it was always w/ his mouthpiece the prophets. In Acts 15, you’ll find that Peter, who was chosen as the Lord’s mouthpiece put the matter to rest after a discussion about the Holy Ghost. His word was final b/c he was chosen & set apart by the Lord (not by man incidentally). The Apostles always sought the Lord’s intervention on doctrinal matters as he taught them to do.
You don’t agree that the foundation had been changed? In 300 a.d., who was the prophet, who were the apostles? Today, has the scacrament changed? Baptism by emersion? Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost? Did the Lord change those ordinances or did man?
Review the history of those meetings & you will see that although they may have prayed, they certainly didn’t pray to know His will. They believed then as many do today that the heavens were closed to revelation. Something Christ never taught as His way. In fact he taught the exact opposite.
Also, you’re right, Christ did not come to reject scripture but to fulfill it. However, many of the jews at the time thought he was rejecting scripture. That was my parallel.
Bottom line, if you choose to follow the wisdom of man, or men in this case, sobeit. I choose to follow the bible & Christ’s teachings & go directly to the source for my wisdom on these matters. You would agree, that is what he taught, right?
Read Rev. 20. It’s right there.
from Enosh: The folks who "never had a shot", as it were, get judged by their deeds
DanielLongo: "But you said it wasn't about "works".
Enosh: For Christians, it's not. We have no part in Judgment Day, we'll already have been resurrected. Revelation 20:4-6 For the rest, the "sheep" and the "goats", they get Revelation 20:11-15. Good luck with that.
Just when you think the post is getting dull. LOL. Enosh always comes through for you. Zoram would be proud.
I have even had Mormons tell me that the man known as Quezocoatl ( sp?) could be Jesus coming to minister to the lost tribes of Israel here.
Talk about fantasy...
Joseph Smith also made a host of false prophesies
And the Mormon Jesus is a literal brother to Satan, that is ot the Jesus of the Bible.
You realize this, right?
Nope. It’s blasphemous when the bible says that Christ judges to say that Smith judges. Do you think or do you just write?
Is there something you disagree with in Rev. 20? I don’t see your argument.
Enosh claims to be Catholic they have two kinds of Mass one of them called high, and also Pergaorty but Enosh says he gets to skip Judgement day! LOL
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
2 Timothy 4
14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: -and that from Paul
Matthew 23
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.-that from Jesus.
Titus 1: 16
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Yes, it is through all scripture. Perhaps you are close to learning something here.
And the Mormon Jesus is a literal brother to Satan, that is ot the Jesus of the Bible.
You realize this, right?
Oh pleaze don't tell her!:)
LOL
Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
Is this confusing to you?
Saundra,
I do not care to comment on your personal claims.
However, it did not escape my practiced eye that
you ignored the substance of my post completely.
best,
