Having Mary Matalin on board doesn’t make feel all warm and fuzzy about Thompson. I equate Matalin with Bush the Elder’s failed moderate policies, not to mention that she sleeps and has spawned with the enemy.
How is Mary Matalin involved with Fred Thompson? I won't vote for anyone who is associated with her.
Matalin is a negative, but others, like Zach Wamp, are major positives. I think he’s simply running the bases here and getting help from all sides of the GOP.

Frankly, I’m happy to see so many who helped get George W. Bush elected during two very difficult elections lining up behind Fred Thompson. Seems to me they don’t plan to back a loser.

She and Carville have turned their odd-couple marriage into a money making business for sure. Tim Russert seems to like their little duet as he has them on Meet the Press regularily. However, I wonder how any Republican candidate could trust the judgement of someone who sleeps with the likes of James Carville.
