BAGHDAD, June 22 (UPI) -- Iran has responded to the U.S. surge in Iraq with its own surge, the commander of the multinational force said Friday.
Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno told journalists increased Iranian backing for Iraqi militants apparently started in March, CNN reported.

The Middle East has nothing to offer us but heartache and misery. And oil.

Foggy Bottom strikes again! Political correctness will be the death of us and it was in Afghanistan.
Glenn Beck had a Navy Seal, Marcus Lutrell, as a guest. Marcus wrote a book, Lone Survivor, about an incident in Afghanistan. 4 Seals were on a mission to get the Taliban. Herders (if I remember correctly) who were spies for the Taliban spotted them. They COULD NOT take out the herders due to 'Rules of Engagement'. The herders tipped off the Taliban, 3 of the 4 Seals are dead. The helicopter rescue team is also dead.
This is what we're up against. An enemy, pick any one of them, who doesn't play by the rules and a bunch of touchy-feely, engagement and dialog seeking LUNATICS in Washington.
So when the whack job in Iran launches his first missile, what will the lunatics do? Have a dialog?

Why bother?
The worst of their stone age culture is a malignant cancer which needs cutting out. The best of their stone age culture is a joke.
Don’t you care?

Washington is out of control — I know I keep saying that, but every day it is something else that proves it even more. A mass exodus from the military would not surprise me, especially if we get a power-mad, anti-military Marxist like Hitlery in there -—

Interesting that it coinsided with the Al-dimocRAT surge against GWB lead by Pelosi and Reid. I wonder if it had to do with Nancy’s trip to Syria?

If you are gonna kill a snake, you chop off it’s head first.
The root of Islamic Terror is in Iran.
Chop off it’s head. Anything else is wasting time.

I read that article on MSNBC. The truth was that they had no way of knowing if they were Taliban or not. They were unarmed and a vote was taken whether or not to execute them on the spot. Now without knowing what you know now, would you have voted to execute potentially innocent goat herders? I’m not sure what the right answer is, but it was not as black and white as you claim.

Don’t forget their oil! As long as we are dependent on that resource from them we have no choice but to have an active hand in happenings in that region.
The sad truth is that, like it or not, we simply can’t abandon that part of the world to the capricious whims of the Arabs or anyone else for that matter.

In a world that hadn’t been made so topsy-turvy by the MSM/Lefties Iran would never have known there was a surge and would have been taken by surprise.
Surprise has been an important military tactic for as long as there have been wars, but the press, along with their minions in Congress and the peace movement, have deprived our fighting forces of this vital tool.
This thing of having to explain each and every tactic, added to the press’ penchant for publishing national security secrets has cost America thousands of lives in this war.
I am convinced there is a God in heaven and He will deal with these vile people at the proper time.

How true! It is so frustrating.
A push for Ethanol causes food prices to rise. But, drilling for new sources is not an option.
An accommodation to (or fear of) Islamofascists prompts the ACLU to say it's o.k. for the taxpayer to bear the cost of foot baths in Michigan. But, don't you dare display a Nativity scene in the public square.
Our Governor, Blagojevich, is COMMUTING by PLANE, from Chicago to Springfield at a cost of $5800 per trip, compliments of the taxpayer, because he doesn't want to live in Springfield. But, don't complain if your taxes are raised.
Yes, it's out of control. Thank God for this forum and the ability to storm the palaces with calls and emails.

Surely you haven't been living under a rock and your statement is in jest....
