Which Fred is Running for President?

I probably know more about Fred Thompson than any other candidate, which is why I worked with my reader base to help draft Fred into the ‘08 Presidential race. But that doesn’t mean that an honest concerned American doesn’t need to ask the right questions before climbing fully onboard any political train today.

If Jesus Christ himself were running today, we’d have to ask the same questions in light of today’s deception and corruption filled arena of national politics, especially if Jesus is now a member of CFR. So, though I’m thrilled that Fred Thompson has answered the people’s call to run, I’m still waiting to see which Fred is going to run.

Wow! You made a website filled with the same lies and halftruths you post around here repeatedly! Then you FOUND it! W O W.

This is yet another example of the Hunter supporters lying about another candidate to try and prop up their guy. Their guy can’t cut it in the real world of presidential politics, so they have to lie about someone else to try and get it done.

...yet another example of the arguments from your advocacy. The site that you're referring to is not my site.

As for the evidence that none of you have rebutted with evidence, we'll get positive and negative information about each of the candidates' records and decide for ourselves.

Analytical voters avoid basing decisions solely on their own emotions.

From The Collaborative International Dictionary of English v.0.48 :

  Hysteria \Hys*te"ri*a\, n. [NL.: cf. F. hyst['e]rie. See
     Hysteric.] (Med.)
A nervous affection, occurring almost exclusively in women,
in which the emotional and reflex excitability is
exaggerated, and the will power correspondingly diminished,
so that the patient loses control over the emotions, becomes
the victim of imaginary sensations, and often falls into
     paroxism or fits.
     [1913 Webster]

Note: The chief symptoms are convulsive, tossing movements of
the limbs and head, uncontrollable crying and laughing,
and a choking sensation as if a ball were lodged in the
throat. The affection presents the most varied
symptoms, often simulating those of the gravest
diseases, but generally curable by mental treatment
           alone. Hysteric

No way. Hunter’s too much of a big government free spender who’s addicted to pork. He voted against all 19 of Jeff Flake’s anti-pork amendments.

He voted for the pork-encrusted 2005 Highway Bill. He voted against the fiscally conservative Republican Study Committee’s proposed budgets in 2003, 2005 and 2006 even though he’s supposedly an RSC member.

Hunter is dead last among the GOP presidential candidates in fundraising. His opposition to free trade has hurt him with big donors. But he should have forseen this and had an agressive internet fundraising effort to try to make up for the shortfall.

Even though he voted no on McCain Feingold, he flip flopped and voted yes on the 527 bill.

The Club for Growth give Hunter a miserable score of 49% (that’s an ‘F’) on their 2005 scorecard, ranking him 187th within the House GOP conference out of roughly 230 members.

“Our (political action committee) would cross him off the list,” said David Keating, executive director of the Club for Growth. “We wouldn’t even consider endorsing him because his record on fiscal issues has been so bad.”

Race 4 2008 says, “This explains why Duncan Hunter isn’t gaining any traction; his record on fiscal issues is that of something other than a conservative.”

In years past, Hunter used to score well on issues considered important by the National Taxpayers Union. But his trend is worrisome, as he’s been getting only C’s from NTU in recent years.

No, Fred doesn’t need to be saddled with a big-government, free-spender on his ticket. The voters have had enough of that from the Bush administration and the recent Congress. Perhaps Fred will nominate Hunter for SECDEF.

I suspect that unless there is something disasterous in Freds past like murdering a late night secretary in an Oldsmobile under a Mass creek bridge then he probably will get lots of support.

I have relatives who have never voted for a Republican say that the current three Democrat candidatesleave to much to be desired.

These relatives are telling me that in all likelyhood they will cast their lot with Thompson.

...mainly because Duncan Hunter voted against NAFTA, CAFTA and against permanent normal trade relations with China. Most conservatives aren't interested in what the Club for Growing Third World Nuclear Arsenals has to say about Duncan Hunter.

My main question is: where is his team?

Uh, who are you supporting? And what 'team has he picked (assuming you mean proposed cabinet officials, etc.)?

There are announcements every week of someone joining the Fred Thompson exploratory team, or helping to set up an organization. Just read the articles on FR. They're all over.

How naive....

Clearly, the author is far better studied on the matter.... You had better study CFR a bit closer, their influence all over Washington, Fred’s membership in the organization and Bush family history back a few generations.

Your comment is entirely naive and uneducated my good friend. The author is asking exactly the right question at exactly the right time...

The only conservatives I’ve come across who are against Fred are not pure conservatives. They are generally libertarian - isolationist Republicans, which is a modern variety of conservative, like compassionate conservatives on the other side of the party.

These folks are usually hardcore supporters of either Ron Paul or Duncan Hunter. Either way, Fred scares the hell out of them.

In both cases, their problem isn’t Fred though. Their problem is, they are trying to ride a losing horse to the finish line.

I like Duncan Hunter and do not like Ron Paul.

But the fact is, any true leader can lead a winning national campaign. If they can’t lead a winning national campaign, they can’t win and they can’t lead the nation.

Take a look at Hunter & Paul numbers....

That’s what isolationist republicans don’t like about Fred Thompson.

He isn’t even in the race yet and he’s killing their candidates...

Yet Hunter still can’t lead his team out of the basement...

Have an acceptable explanation for that?
