What is the “Arlington Group”? Some get together liberal elitists think control the minds of conservatives?
Fred’s been silent lately on the Senate’s far-reaching immigration bill, if enacted will start the obliteration of the middle class in America.
Not a good sign for him in my book.
Not true.
Fred has spoken on numerous occasions about the current Senate Amnesty bill. He has covered it and summed it up as bad law that will not work.
Have a look at Sturm Ruger’s reading list.
They are neither liberal nor elitists, its simply a coalitions of similiar minded groups, or leaders of some of those groups. Nothing more.
Also, Thompson has stated that the shamnesty bill should be voted down.
Shermy wrote: “Freds been silent lately on the Senates far-reaching immigration bill, if enacted will start the obliteration of the middle class in America.”
Fred on the immigration bill:
“Is it any wonder that a lot of folks today feel like theyre being sold a phony bill of goods on border security? A ‘comprehensive’ plan doesnt mean much if the government cant accomplish one of its most basic responsibilities for its citizens securing its borders. A nation without secure borders will not long be a sovereign nation.”
“No matter how much lipstick Washington tries to slap onto this legislative pig, its not going to win any beauty contests.”
“We should scrap this ‘comprehensive’ immigration bill and the whole debate until the government can show the American people that we have secured the borders or at least made great headway. That would give proponents of the bill a chance to explain why putting illegals in a more favorable position than those who play by the rules is not really amnesty.”
- Fred Thompson, National Review Online, May 17, 2007
That says it all. WTF else do you want him to say?
A fairly impressive group.

You're joking, right? You mean you really haven't read Thompson's comments on immigration? If you are seriously concerned, let me allay your concerns - Fred came out in favor of building the fence and enforcing the border long before this bill was introduced. He is a little more open to discussing how we handle the people who are already here, but only after we secure the border.
Of course, if you already know that and just like to stir the pot, feel free to take a long walk off a short pier...
Silent? Nice try, but I have to sound the buzzer here.
Obviously, you either haven’t listened to Fred once, or you have, but choose to ignore what he has said.
IOW he’s firmly against the shamnesty bill and says we need to control the borders.
do you have your fingers in your ears by any chance???
