Infineon Raceway is one of the premier road racing venues in the country, and one of the few on the NASCAR Winston Cup Series circuit. The facility first opened in 1968 and serves as the gateway to the beautiful and scenic Sonoma Valley, which serves as one of the top wine-producing regions in the world.
God Bless our Armed Forces and their families and those who have paid for our freedoms with their sacrifice.

They have to do something with this race. I can’t stand fuel mileage races. The best cars are gonna get screwed today. Let them have bigger fuel cells.

Personally I like this race, maybe it’s a California thing. ;0)
We’re gonna see a lot fall out now needing fuel, and the better cars will move up.

Well everybody likes aggressive driving until the 8 car gets brushed then all heck breaks out. I don’t mind aggressive driving but the 42 car is a bumper car.

the winner is the first one to pass the checkers. Gee, that would make them, the fastest car, wouldn't it?

I sure hope some of my guys will be in that mix... I’d bet Rocket will be one. Looks like it’s time to check WPM’s green card.

” No one knows who is really leading the race because of fuel strategies.”
This is why I like the Fox coverage. Hammond would have this nailed.

Dunno... the rules are (mostly) the same for all of em... the winner is the first one to pass the checkers. This year's fuel cell is 3 gallons less than last year at this track. They should have fuel cells sized according to tire wear. For example, if the tire window is 50 laps, give them a 60 lap fuel cell.

I like Watkins. I wonder if they could put safer barriers up at Watkins, and change turn 4 back into turn 4.

Wonder if they'll really pull
this off....
TNT, for the prime-time July 7 Pepsi 400, wants to add some wrinkles. Trish Frohman, TNT executive vice president, hopes to enlist 12 advertisers she says Pepsi, DirecTV and pain reliever 360 OTC are in to air commercials, running up to two minutes, in about a quarter of the TV screen as race shots continue.
