Okay, Senor Juan Mequain. 12 million minus 40% equals a little over seven million. America will take it's chances with that reduction as a starting point. Get to work!
Linseed Graham, SHUT UP, you BIGOT!
“McCain said conservatives who want to focus exclusively on securing Americas borders are missing a major part of the problem: that 40 percent of the estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States are here because they overstayed their visas, not because they entered the country illegally.
Hello Mc Cain - WTF is the difference ?”
We have 2 holes in our system:
1. one of them is the visa overstay hole (40% of problem)
- to plug it you need to track entries and exits from the country (US VISIT program) and hunt down the sponsors of visiter
2. Another is the border crossing hole (60% of problem)
- to plug it you need to build a fence.
Both holes are driven by economic reasons (jobs and govt goodies) so you need
3. The employment attraction needs to be diminished with employment verification and workplace enforcement
4. End govt services to illegal aliens (there are many places where immigration status is never checked)
OR YOU CAN SAY MAKE ANOTHER HOLE VIA AMNESTY FOR 12 MILLION AND CALL THAT A “SOLUTION”...
I think the American people are sophisticated enough to know that the way you stop illegal immigration is not to start by announcing youre going to reward illegal immigration, Bilbray said. I know the senators may think that its logical what theyre doing, the president may think its logical, but its as logical to give amnesty at the beginning of immigration reform as it would be to drill a hole in the bottom of a boat to let the water out.

No illegals is the only legitimate option.
Put snipers on the border and let them practice their marksmanship.
After a dozen or so examples, the bulk of the invaders will stop trying.
“No matter how much we liked Tony as a talk-radio host or a sub for Rush, he is now no more than a mouthpiece for Bush.”
Correct, and to the other poster, it is not a party line, it is Bush-line. The GOP grassroots is united in opposition to this amnesty / sham-nesty bill.
We need a Bush-whacking on this issue.
Screw you, MeCain. The 12 million number is 5 years old and is more likely over 20 million.
Or, BLOAT Ping
Hi, Travis. Good to see you back.
How about building 2 walls, with the space between having 20-foot tall steel plates pounded into the ground to discourage tunnelling?
My original idea was to salt the border with high-level nuclear waste, but that would be a really hard sell.
Thanks, it’s good to be back.
In open country, double fences are actually more effective than walls, because walls shield the movements of illegals on the other side.
The sort who don't notice when we're bing sold down the river, apparently. Or so many of our elected officials hope. This is nothing new, though...

There more in this immagration bill than meets the eye. God forbid this frankstein monster bill could be raise to life, again.
I beleive there is language in the bill not being talk about that threats our imminate domain on the border. With the arrest of border patrol who are protecting themselves and our way of life. From those who our attacking us. As one example that there more in this bill that will change every thing not just. And the fact that President Bush does nothing, see nothing, our hear nothing. Perhaps Chavze was right about Bush being the devil in sheep clothing. Time will only tell.
