PLAINFIELD, N.H. Randy Weaver, the symbol of everything the government hopes to avoid with convicted tax evaders Ed and Elaine Brown, offered advice to the fugitives and warnings to federal agents at the Browns fortified home on Monday.
Weavers wife and son and a deputy U.S. marshal were killed during the infamous Ruby Ridge shootout with federal agents in Idaho in 1992. He visited the Browns hilltop home to raise the specter of the botched federal raid and lend his celebrity to the tax evaders cause.
We said, This is it, were not going to take it any more This is serious stuff. Bring it on, Weaver said during a news conference on the Browns front porch. I aint afraid of dying no more. Im curious about the afterlife. And Im an atheist.
During the sometimes hostile news conference that had Weaver and Ed Brown shouting insults at reporters, the speakers and their supporters repeated their claims that income taxes are voluntary, and any tax on labor amounts to slavery.
The bottom line is: Show us the law, we will pay what you ask, said Ed Brown, who had a gun tucked in his waistband. They cant do it, folks.

They're a discredit to their cause unfortunately. They might rally other loonys.
When he slips and calls them the ZOG itll all be a dejavu.
In that case, please stay where you are. We have enough home-grown lamebrains here already.
Maybe he particularly enjoyed that passage the Paul wrote to the Phillipians.
Everybodys made him a hero and he was really just a delusional nutjob thats seeking 15 more minutes.
Be looking for him to open t-shirt stands and book tables at the front gate.
I guess you’re one of those NH people who resent the Free State Project too?
I’ve been wondering that same thing too. hehe...
I guess you’re one of those people who does a lot of assuming.

A word of advice... have a supply of Sunblocker 5000 when you die... it’s going to be a little warm where you are going Mr. Weaver. I pray you find Jesus before that day!

Okay, so where’s the logical breakdown? If you’re a FSP supporter, you should have no problem with this.
These people are demanding economic freedom from an unjust and anti-American tax system, and they don’t care if they die in the process.
Sound pretty darn Boston Tea Party to me.
Remember, this nation was founded on an armed tax revolt.
Our ancestors tried moving to a new country. Oppression followed them. Fortunately, they fought for and won the freedoms we take for granted today.
At least dont drag your kids and wife into your madness.
BTW do you think roads and dams and Defense Forces self perpetuate? Pay your share!
Work to change the laws through the proper channels if you feel wronged, quite stomping and screaming about guns and revolt, it cheapens your argument and only benefits your "enemy".
dude— I’ve posted this all over the thread- it’s the ultimate solution, and the one I endorse.
I wouldnt associate with these nutjobs in anyway if you want to be taken seriously. JMO
I’m not associating with them at all. I live in FL, and I’m not a tax protester.
But their complaint is correct, as were our Founders.
The funny thing is that Brown says he only answers to God, and not the government. He's on a mission from God to do "the right thing". So I wonder why Weaver didn't tell him he's on a mission from a nonexistent entity and hence A KOOK?
Our Founders beef was "No Taxation WITHOUT Representation.", not "No Taxation period." Out Founders put in Article I of the Constitution this little phrase "The Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes". So save the fantasyland bull that they did not believe in any taxes..
P.S. I HATE taxes.
