Paula Zahn's 8:00 p.m. show on CNN is being canceled. Its ratings had been falling precipitously for months. According to several reports, CNN plans to replace Zahn with NBC's Campbell Brown, whose contract with the network expires next month. But Daily Variety quoted one insider as noting that Brown resembles Zahn in that they are "network-style anchors" who will be up against tough competition from "brash, opinionated hosts" on rival cable news networks. "Why replace Paula with another Paula?" the Variety source asked.

Apparently, leaving #1 cable news channel doesn't seem to be a good decision... Even though I never really watched Greta, she made the right choice by jumping to FNC...

Countering the "brash" hosts with a more straightforward news and feature presentation would seem to be a good way of gaining differentiation -- if the straightforward presenter were straightforward.

Campbell is a dimwit. The more serious and informed she tries to be, the more amateurish and shallow she appears. Plus she has no lips. It’s like watching Speed Racer in drag report the news. cnn has not yet realized or better won’t admit that the dan rather school of entertainment broadcasting does NOT work!!!
zahn is the forshadow of perky katie....smiles/legs and other parts do not bring in viewers if there is nothing in the heads...
leftists news readers ~ reading leftist political propaganda does not bring in viewers....
This is why Fox News Rules and the rest suck!!!

Good. Never liked her. Actually, always thought she was first class BEOTCH, and actively disliked her.
Plus, she is (er, was) married to a guy from Moonbat Brookline, MA. Ordinarily I wouldn't hold that against her, but this guy is actually proud of being from Brookline.
That's the east coast equivalent of being proud of being from Berkeley, CA.
