He’s going to be the Ross Perot of 2008, giving us a Clinton Presidency.

He's an intriguing
guy. Deep business background and
cool in a crisis--

flies high performance
private planes. But most people
don't know his background

and judge him only
on that he looks like a RAT
and sounds like a WUSS.

He's not like Perot,
doesn't do gung-ho speeches.
Won't be a factor

I do not believe
in splitting any party
to any degree.

I think he'll hurt Hillary more. He's probably going to take the NY voters away from her. They like Bloomy. Hopefully that's how it works. The NRA, GOA and all other gun groups will come out against him. He'll find out just how wrong his anti gun campaign is. He doesn't have a chance!

“He’s going to be the Ross Perot of 2008, giving us a Clinton Presidency.”

Actually, I think Bloomberg would be the “anti-Perot”, pulling more votes from Clinton than the Republican nominee and thus keeping the Clintons from regaining the WH.

“Leftist”, “pro-nanny government” Bloomberg would get most of his votes from leftist voters, not from conservative voters! I don’t get this ongoing idea that Bloomberg would end up taking away more votes from the final GOP candidate for President instead of taking away more votes from the final Democratic candidate for President.

I really don't think he will be another Ross Perot, if anything he will draw democrat votes from the dem candidate. Covervatives don't want him that is why he is leaving the party, he knows there is no way in he** that he would win the primary. The only republican votes he might get are the ones from NYC. This is actually a good think for conservatives. Let the dems vote for this turkey, we won't.

I wouldn’t put any money on that. He’s more likely to siphon off RAT votes.

LOL! The ONLY people who even give a rat's a-- about Bloomberg is New York City, which would never go GOP anyway. He would siphon more votes from the liberals, not the conservatives. That would help Fred Thompson and hurt Hillary Clinton.

If he steals votes, it won’t be from the GOP.

What makes you think he’ll hurt Republicans?

Don’t be too sure about that. This man is far to the left and would appeal more to liberals than all but the far left fringes of the Republican Party. He’s even to the left of Rudy, as I understand it.

==He’s going to be the Ross Perot of 2008, giving us a Clinton Presidency.==

Not at all. Perot had appeal to middle American voters afraid (rightfully in my view, but I don’t want to get into this now) of free trade agreements. Bloomberg is basically the polar opposite of Perot: A socially libertarian, internationalist New Yorker. I can’t imagine a demographic he threatens more than the abortion-on-demand, limo-left wing of the Democrats.

How in the world will he give us a Clinton WH? I live in NYC, he’s more liberal than Hillary, in fact he’s her worst nightmare. If he does run for the WH as an independent he will be to Hillary what Ross Perot was was the George H.W. Bush.

I think you give him far too much credit. The media connection is his asset. Everyone knows he's a spineless pipesmoker.

No way. He’ll steal liberal votes, not conservatives. I think this is a good thing for Republicans. Let the RINOs leave now.

Bloomberg peeling away a bunch of Hillary's support would be a sweet thing to behold, wouldn't it? :-)

Bloomberg will take more votes from the Dems than the Republicans...

...by a margin of about 250-50...nationwide.
