"The South Carolina Democratic Party issued the following statement:""In only a few months, Thomas Ravenel has gone from spoiled rich kid buying his way into office to common street criminal. He is an embarrassment to the state and an embarrassment to the Office of Treasurer. It's a shame that Grady Patterson - an absolutely honorable man and a true patriot - was replaced by Thomas Ravenel as State Treasurer."
Hard to argue with if this charge is true.

Officials say Ravenel bought less than 500 grams of cocaine from Miller to share with other people. U.S. Attorney Reggie Lloyd says Ravenel didn't sell any of the drugs. Lloyd says the investigation is just beginning. 500 grams to "share" with friends. Generous guy.

My daughter who lives in SC said he was conservative If he is on Rudy's team, he can't be a conservative. Yeak well, she must be a victim of mainstreameitis, if it is a Republican, it is a conservative. * snort, snort*
If he is for Rooty, he must just be a ordinary Republican.

Very interesting. He certainly wasn’t on Rudy’s team during the SC Senatorial primary (aside from the fact that Rudy wasn’t running for anything),and he did actually seem better than Graham in some ways. Ravanel is an old SC name, and many people thought he lost simply because of his connection with hereditary wealth and power.
But maybe there was something else going on. I don’t live in SC and don’t really pay attention to things there unless I’m visiting my daughter, so I couldn’t really say with any accuracy what the situation was. However, it’s still pretty stunning that Ravanel should turn up in something like this.

Before you get too wrapped around the axle ask yourself if there is anything funny about Lindsey Graham’s main political challenger getting indicted just when the voter’s wrath is being turned up on Lindsey.

This is shocking beyond belief!!!
I have to think this is a Delorean type of sting charge.
Did he have the cocaine or not? Marion Berry was also set up and it made him just as guilty.
I don't beleive that this is a conspiracy but if it were why would Lindsey Graham spring this "set-up" so far from the election? This conspiracy talk it idiotic at best.

Also, his CA spokesperson is Bill Lockyer, the notorious gun grabbing leftist Dem CA State Treasurer.

What a shocker...
I haven't read the story because I'm having connection problems, but I'm guessing he's a Democrat so I wouldn't be shocked.

I wonder if the RINO traitors supporting Lightloafer Lindsey would go to the extent of setting up a dope charge against his most likely primary challenger?

less than 500 grams to "share" with friends. Generous guy. Depends on how much "less" than 500 grams. I wonder if that number is some sort of legal limit for a type of charge.
