Global Advertising
The Boeing Company is known around the world as a leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes. What's less well known is that Boeing is also a leader in space technology, defense aircraft and systems, and communication systems. Our advertising campaigns close the gap between current perceptions of Boeing and our true scope as a global aerospace company.

Not sure what you’re point is...
Boeing has strict rules that govern the ethical use of employees laptops.
In every instance, the employee’s car was broken into and thieves grab the computer hoping to trade it for dope.
That computer was recovered in a few days and the employee was terminated.
Do you think Boeing is resposible for the theft?

Boeing has been running TV ads for the last year or so that feature a voice over that is driving me nuts. The voice is so familiar that I can almost see the face behind it but almost is also not quite. I believe the announcer is an African American woman, maybe in her forties and I believe she is an actress. She has very precise diction and is very easy on the ears. Does anyone know who she is?

GtG

Billions and billions and billions----and that's just the NASA budget! His isn't as dumb as your tagline--So you think if they didn't give the money to NASA that you would get a tax cut!?
Heck no! They'd just give it to single mothers....
I wish we could just take money and blast it into orbit instead of giving it to illegals and single mothers. It would save us money in the long run.

Tagline police. That’s a new one on FR. I’m a huge supporter of NASA but my tagline is a play on Sagan’s comment about the stars and the size of the Federal budget. Guess it went over your head.

Perhaps some of the marketing types can chime in here...what’s the advantage for a company like Boeing to run TV ads? It’s not as if the consumer is going to say, “what a nice product...I think I’ll run down to the local Boeing dealer and check one out.” An airline’s CEO’s buying decisions probably won’t be made based on that either. I’ve often wondered the same thing about utilities. It’s not as if people have a choice.

Tagline police. Thats a new one on FR. "Pot, you're black!" Said the kettle....
Guess it went over your head.
Yeah, 'cuz it's not funny. It's lightyears from anything funny. The Hubble telescope couldn't find funny from your tagline.
My tagline is waaaaaaay funnier.

They are advertising their stock.
But I don't believe they can legally do that. So they pretend they are advertising airplanes.
It was very blatant during the .com era. You don't think anybody with a clue actually wanted a 'Nortel Network'?

Perhaps - but what is the need for a company that's as universally known as Boeing to do that? Nortel Networks, I can perhaps see...or lesser known companies...BRLC doesn't even advertise their TVs, and they have a stock and a product to sell...
