She was, and is, grossly unqualified to be a Supreme Court Justice. Her record is —— mostly blank.

I applaud your optimism, and really hope you’re right. I do think the dems are digging themselves into a huge national security hole and people know it, and I also think the reason Republicans/conservatives argue with each other is because there are no adults in the dem party to argue with. But we’ll really have to get ourselves together in ‘08.

Personally, I still consider both Alito and Roberts to be largely untested. I agree. What do we know about them? Alito voted pro-choice, I thought, in a NJ case. V's wife.

Yeah, it also resulted in a whole lot of others not in the Circuit Courts.

Not very many (on Circuit Courts), by my count. The 3 mentioned above are the cream of the crop.

Well, there are some 15 vacancies on the Circuit Courts now. With nominees like Boyle, Myers, Haynes, and company blocked by the gang of 14, a good portion of those are now going to be blocked for President Hillary to potentially fill.

Look at the latest nominee, Judge Southwick from Mississippi. This is a seat that’s been vacant since Bush’s first term, and Southwick is the 3rd nominee to the seat after Senate Republicans failed for years to confirm the first two.

He had his hearing in early May. On the 24th, he was supposed to be moved out of committee, but he was delayed. On the 7th, he was supposed to be moved out of committee, but he was delayed again. On the 14th, he was delayed a 3rd time.

When the majority GOP Senate failed to confirm many of these nominations last Congress, and fail now at forcing Reid, Schumer, and Leahy to do something this Congress, they are at fault.

[“We” have very little control about who appears on the scandal page. People are imperfect, and the MSM is highly selective about who and when scandals are allowed to develop. If a Republican gets a speeding ticket, it is a scandal. If a Democrat is found with $100,000 in bribe money in his freezer, it is not a scandal (at least until after the election).]

While we have our favorites, Foley, Abramoff, and Allen were not “speeding tickets”. Foley was seducing male pages while in charge of the page program. Abramoff was bribing congressman to vote in the interests of his clients. Allen publicly used a racial slur. All of these were totally unacceptable, highly damaging, and completely avoidable had their been proper accountability, preparation and oversight.

Is the media deck stacked against conservatives? - Definitely. But we don’t have to be our own worst enemy.

Our standard of conduct is not the Democrats. It is the law, and hopefully something even higher.
