When you try to explain everything by "evolved" you end up with a mell of a hess. Your wife only loves you because she evolved to want sex. Your mother only loves you because she evolved to pass on her genes. Etc.
Anyhow, this is not true of my cats. Their food and water is replenished whether they show up and cuddle or not. But they do.
I strongly recommend you take a class or read a book to learn the proper use of quotation marks. You sure did not see the word used in my post. And the comments about wife and mother do not even make sense. They are humans after all. Big differance there. My own cat, Abby (Abegon the Despoiler) will come if a merely pick up and shake the container of dry food, even if his food dish is full. Sort of Pavlovian that way. Hey, I like him, but he is a pet. If he comes down with something I would certainly not put him on chemo, life support, or shell out bread for a transplant. For a family member, yes, for a pet, no way. But as long as he continues to kill pidgeons and moles, he is earning his keep.
