Israel will not stand idly by and allow Fatah to slaughter Hamas members in the West Bank like Hamas did to Fatah last week in the Gaza Strip, a high-ranking defense official said Saturday.
According to the official, Fatah was in the process of taking over Hamas installations and buildings throughout the West Bank in retaliation to Hamas's violent takeover last week of the Gaza Strip. In the meantime, the IDF said that the situation in the West Bank was relatively calm.

When your enemy is busy killing himself, you don’t stop him! If anything, you do everything possible to facilitate his self destruction.
Once hamas and fatah have culled the respective herds, there will be fewer terrorists killing Israelis.
On the other hand, how many people will killed by the terrorists that the Israeli government rescues from their well deserved deaths?

CRIKEY!
Look at Drudge people
They have a lawyer in charge nuff said.
I agree with Israel’s action. It will reaffirm Israel’s right to take care of problems on its own land, and Israel should oppose the most recent, slippery Arafat. I don’t want to see any more propaganda from or for the more slippery, treacherous Islamo-fascists. Leave only the obvious terrorists visible, and don’t leave this anti-Israel world of nations with any more excuses to support the enemy.
This is a kook site that blames the US Govt. for war crimes after 911 and other such crap. The site has no credibility whatsoever.
So we are funding two mutual enemies of ours to kill each other...
I don’t like this, can’t we just bombard them from long range with howitzers. Maybe a combo. In all cases ‘innocents’ will suffer but sadly with the brainwashing that these kids go through innocence proves nothing anyway.
It would not surprise me.

Since 1965 a Joint Working Group (JWG), co-sponsored by the WCC and the RCC, has met regularly to discuss issues of common interest and promote cooperation. The group meets annually. One of the church and ecumenical relations staff members serves as co-secretary for the JWG and helps to coordinate contact between the Council and the dicasteries of the Vatican through the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. The RCC also serves the team on Mission & Evangelism in a consultative capacity."
