Sansonetti is one of 30 folks seeking the nomination to replace US Senator Craig Thomas who passed away last week.
What the GOP does not need is more scandal ridden lobbyists running the show. What was Tom Sansonetti thinking? Why would someone be tainted and allow the lefties and the MSM (redundent I know) trash you by supporting a confessed liar involved in the Abramoff fiasco? 2008 will be hard enough with out that kind of baggage even in WYOMING. I hope the GOP Central Committee knows this is a self inflicted Dead Man Walking and they don’t give the Democrat Gov. a chance to appoint this tainted lobbyist and make 2008 election more competitive in Wyoming as well!
You presume that the WY Republican State Central Committee is politically savvy, but is it?

Actually it may not be as bad as you think. As Abramoff went to prison, his attorneys said that they had the names of at least a half dozen “seriously dirty” high level democrats.
The democrats may not be interested in stirring Abramoff’s pot any more than they absolutely have too.
When will the Republican committee submit the three names to the governor and who is the favorite to get appointed?
