Amnesty is the death knell for both parties but pandering for those hispanic votes has taken over any sense of logic!
The Hispanic people who have nothing to do with the illegals would vote democrat anyway, they are usually Catholics and democrats.
Because they give amnesty to millions of illegals it will not sway the voters once they become legal anyway, their socialist mentality has always been a dem mentality.
Mexico is sending their dregs of society over the border as was evident by the horrific crimes being commited by hispanic males as shown on local TV nightly news. While these criminals enter this Country ILLEGALLY.
AMERICAN young men and women are losing their lives in the war fighting to keep the criminals and the rest of us safe,
outrageous! Send these criminals to fight in the war and protect the Country they want to call their own (yeh right)
BEFORE they are given amnesty and see how quick they exit this country...don’t let the door hit ya on your way out...
“Amnesty is the death knell for both parties “
That it is. The Nations Flag and Sovereignty are at stake, and that’s not an overstatement in the least!
1) Illegal immigration is providing a safety valve to keep Mexico from slipping into Communist revolution.
2) A Hugo Chavez-style government next door would lead directly to Al Qaeda training camps and Chinese military installations within miles of our southern border, and would force us to undertake costly military actions to suppress Mexico at a time when we are already overextended around the world.
3) Bush hopes that by allowing young Mexicans to come here and see first-hand how a capitalist economy works, they will be less likely to support the rise Communism in their homeland.
4) Bush hopes that American citizens will shut up and accept depressed wages and increased crime in their neighborhoods (at least, duing an "adjustment" period), because the alternative of having an aggressive, Palestinian-like enemy state on our southern border is far worse.
5) Despite these hopes, it is hard for Americans to understand that when their President won't spell out these reasons for them. But he cannot do so because for him to even to mention the possibility of a Communist takeover in Mexico would embolden the Communists tremendously. He has to play it as a humanitarian issue.
6) Senior Democrat politicans know all this, but are cynically exploiting the situation to try to bring in more people who will one day vote their way.
7) Senior Republican politicians know all of this, but are naively wondering why Americans aren't willing to shut up and do what the President says in the interest of patriotism, like they did during the Cold War. They seem to forget the public is missing about half of the picture.
8) Business leaders don't know all of this and don't care - they just don't want their cheap labor supply dried up.
9) Big Government lovers see the illegal influx as the only way to prop up giant entitlement programs.
10) The media loves the Ellis Island Story, and will always identify with non-white newcomers as the "have-nots" fighting the privileged elites.
In short, everybody wins with illegal immigration except working class American taxpayers, who are being asked to bear the burden of depressed wages, a smaller pool of available jobs, and increased crime in their neighborhoods in the interest of what looks to them like no more than "being nice to the world".
If he wants a bill to pass, Bush is going to have to come clean about the geostrategic chess game he is playing and openly call for a unification of our two countries. There will be howls of protest, but at least the debate will be able to go forward on an honest footing, based on the stated and clear premise that we can't fight China economically or militarily over the long term without access to a Third World labor force similar to theirs. THis war of half-truths that is going on is unseemly, and insulting to the public.
They keep telling us this is NOT an amnesty.....it seems they don't read the dictionary..if it looks, quacks and walks like a duck, it's a dirty, ugly pig of an amnesty bill.
