"Do you think we assimilate immigrants as well as in previous waves?" Mr. Bush's answer: "Absolutely.

Of course. My family's scrapbooks are filled with photos of my grandparents and great-grandparents demonstrating in the streets of the U.S. waving Russian and Hungarian flags.

Speaking of taxes...better hold on to your wallets as your property taxes will be going up to provide new schools, jails, cops and teachers that will be needed for the current crop of illegals 'extended families'. Then the states will need more prison beds for the 6-7% of them that will commit felonies and need be put in state prisons.

They keep telling us this is NOT an amnesty.....it seems they don't read the dictionary..if it looks, quacks and walks like a duck, it's a dirty, ugly pig of an amnesty bill.

am·nes·ty –noun 1. a general pardon for offenses, esp. political offenses, against a government, often granted before any trial or conviction.

2. Law. an act of forgiveness for past offenses, esp. to a class of persons as a whole.

3. a forgetting or overlooking of any past offense. –verb (used with object) 4. to grant amnesty to; pardon.

Remember that 11/2008 could be the time we jump out of the frying pan into the fire...could be Hillaryworld or Obamaville. We may have fond memories of today.

predicted he would try to resurrect it and call it something else. We have to keep our guard up. We need to keep the pressure up. We have no choice but to fight. The oligarchy wants cheap labor and a destruction of the middle class and the millionaire democrats want votes they can count on. A marriage made in HELL.

STAGE TWO is to go after the people who hire illegals. Start giving them fines and arresting them. Just catch ten or 100 of them on the nightly news. The magnet will dry up and most of the 12 million will go home by themselves.

As an addendum, we should anonymously call the IRS, people working "off the books" means taxes ain't being paid. Make anonymous fliers and hang them around the neighborhood, name names. It's time to embarrass these bustards, whether they give to the GOP or Rats, we don't need them.

CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!

WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!

Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.

STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!

The best way to stop Shamnesty

Snugs, from your perspective in England, it may be that you are not aware of the repercussions of this bill, nor of the reactions against it outside of FR.

Did you know it has caused Trent Lott to declare war on talk radio?
Yesterday he declared that “talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem”.
Do you realize how absurd that is?

I respectfully submit that nearly everyone on FR has voted for President Bush, TWICE.

At issue ~ at STAKE ~ is our very sovereignty.
Respectfully, I’m not sure it can be appreciated by a non American, and I mean no disrespect to you.

Screw Trent Lott by telling him there is no ethnic or racial balance in his bill.

“One issue looses you - one wonders how you survive in daily life which has to be full of give and take if not compromise.”

Just one issue .... giving Z visa amnesty to illegal aliens...

This Z visa legalization is indeed amnesty, it forgives the real punishment (deportation). The ‘fine’ is less than
H1B lawyers and fees cost (I work with H1B immigrants in high-tech), so it is more of a processing fee;
the program is set up for fraud, with pathetic documentation requirements, just as in 1986; Cornyn’s
amendment to close off amnesty to absconders and all criminals was denied; this bill allows permanent
(since Z visa is renewable until green card) residency instantly to 12 million illegal immigrants,
majority of them without High School degrees, massively shifting our immigration patterns to the
least skilled and most likely to be dependent; there are no language requirements for 10 years into
a visa that is permanent residency. Senator Sessions has compiled 20 loopholes in the
bill, most related to failures in the Z visa program.

This amnesty repeats the mistakes of 1986 on a grand scale, as Senators Cornyn and Hutchison have warned.
It undermines rule of law in immigration, invited huge fraud in amnesty applications and further illegal
immigration via weak document requirements and a mere 24-hour turnaround on provisional acceptance,
crowds out higher-skill legal immigrants, creates a massive increased burden on taxpayers
($2.5 Trillion estimate from Heritage), and unfunded mandates on states and local Governments.
And for what, exactly? CBO has indicated that illegal immigration in the next 10 years
will still be significant with this bill - a huge amnesty, but more illegal immigration. Pathetic!

The Z visa amnesty program is a slap in the face to legal immigrants, taxpayers,
and anyone who cares about the rule of law.

“Other than that, Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?”

This is not one of many issues...it’s the most important issue of our times. Going forward, elections won’t much matter if this passes. Also, the GOP needs to understand, they can not campaign as conservatives and govern as liberals all the while thinking the base has no choice but to vote for them. I’m done voting for the lesser of two evils, and I don’t much care if the GOP win or not. We will have socialism thrust upon us because of the huge poor needy illegal population. It’s sad that what I have spent my entire life voting against is forced upon me by my own party. I’m done.
