Below is what I wrote in the comments section.
I am a U.S. citizen that took 11 years to gain this status legally. It is an outrageous violation of the rule of law to grant this to illegal aliens that have broken multiple laws already by getting here and staying here. An enforced national border is essential to our national sovereignity and we must secure our Southern border. With all the billions we waste in our $2.9 trillion federal budget I know we have the money to do this. The Senate also passed a bill in Oct 2006 to do this. The vast majority of Americans from all political parties support an enforced border. We are a constitutional republic and you must listen to the voice of the people to enforce the rule of law. If the Senate wants any credibility with ALL Americans you must do this otherwise why should we ever believe any of your promises. Enforce the border first and then we can talk about what we do with the 12 million illegals that are here.
Just signed the petition, and filled out the volunteer form too.
Done. One really cool thing about the petition’s web site is it directs petitioners to a contribution form for Inhofe’s campaign. I gave him $50.00. Everyone else here who can contribute should do so after signing the petition. Money talks. If Inhofe can show a huge and growing campaign war chest because he’s sponsoring this petition, it’s likely to get a lot of fence sitting pubbies who’re running for reelection in 2008 to become co-sponsors of the petition and oppose the bill.
Done deal.
Done.
signed...
Here’s what I put: In the middle of a war with foreign terrorists the Senate is working to legalize illegal aliens with one day allowed for checks. This shocks the conscience and is the most outrageous thing I have ever seen any Congress do. Secure the border, now.
Done,
Is there a total number of signers on there? I may have missed it.
I called and let my senators know today that I will NOT forget if they vote for this immigration sham. They WILL be out next election. There are too many people mad about this.
Let’s do it!!

Inhofe has a good piece of legislation that ties up a lot of loopholes, short and sweet.

Could you give a cite for the Press Release that contains the following language:
The Secure Borders Now petition gives Americans an opportunity to voice their opposition. I hope my constituents and citizens from all across our country will take action, sign the petition and show how many Americans are strongly opposed to this bill.
The first step in any significant immigration legislation must be securing our borders and enforcing existing laws. It is unconscionable to make border security conditional on the guarantee of amnesty. Even with the promise of additional funding for border security, the Senate bill focuses far too much on controversial and irresponsible programs such as the Z-visa (which I voted to eliminate), and far too little on ensuring that our borders are no longer porous.”
It is not on the Senate Press Release that you linked above and I would like to have a link to it to post on my website.
Thanks!

Done. Thank you for the link.

Well, here’s a little something we can do.
Signed for both my husband and myself.
Bump!
What part of *NO* don't you people understand!? Are we somehow supposed to believe that this time you're really going to mean it? [Hint: WE DON'T TRUST YOU!]
Secure the Borders, and Aggressively Enforce the EXISTING IMMIGRATION LAWS for the next two years, and then maybe we can talk.
In the mean time: NO AMNESTY!!
